What will make my hair grow longer and faster?

My hair has been stuck at the same length forever! I trim the ends and condition it highly. I dont want to pay into these scams that claim your hair will grow feet in months because that is not possible, but, it only grows like an inch a year! Im serious! What can i do? I have a very important event coming up in a little over a year and a half and i want it near to my waist. I know with doing the right things that it is possible. I mean, my friends hair was chopped like a guys and was past her waist in 8 months! Whats going on!

What will make my hair grow longer and faster?

My hair doesnt grow that fast either. I cut 1/8 of an in every two months and it seems to be getting longer. I dont know of anything else that might help sorry.
