About five months ago, I chopped my hair off as well. My reasoning was that I hated my layers (although they were to the middle of my back) and I wanted to start over growing it out as one length. I can just imagine your distress. I cried over the hair cut, which by the way, I did myself. Making it that much harder to blame someone else. :). SO...there is no miracle growth that will allow your hair to grow at lightning speed, but from experience, I do know a couple tricks that do help the hair to grow faster with less split ends:

1. Nature's plus ultra hair vitamins, from GNC

2. Emu Oil, from the Vitamin Shoppe

3. Jason Biotin shampoo and conditioner

4. DO NOT use straightners or curlers

5. Air dry your hair

6. Use scrunchies or very lose bands that don't have metal on them. Hair clips can be useful as well.

7. Try not to dye your hair. The hair will break off easier, making it harder to grow.

8. Eat healthy. Foods rich in protein.

With all this done properly, your hair should grow about an inch per month...which is double the average rate.

The vitamins kick in, in about two months...so give them time.

I recommend measuring your hair with a tape measure to see if it is working.

Move to a warm climate...Florida did it for me!!! I cut off all my long hair to 2" all over and moved from Texas to Florida after a year and it only took about a year to get back where it was...but there is no MIRACLE to make it grow any faster than the warmth and sun and humidity...putting it in braids and ponytails actually PULL on the hair but also pulls it out at the roots. I am so happy to have my long hair back and am never cutting it again!
